I'm using socket.io in heroku but websockets are not supported.

https://devcenter.heroku.com/articles/using-socket-io-with-node-js-on-heroku

I was wondering if this client supports xhr-polling or it only supports websockets?

Hi there,

is there any update on xhr-polling please? I could really make use of it! I'd be happy to test it for you, otherwise I'm going to have to create a web page with a socket.io client that reposts to a REST service, and nobody wants that ...

cheers

Got a little behind on some other projects, but currently working on it. Target is for first week in Nov, based on feedback / issues. Will have initial code posted in github early next week (proj/demo, nuget will come with actual release). Testing help is definitely welcome - will PM you when ready.

Thanks,
Jim

A develop branch is up at https://github.com/jstott/socketio4net/tree/develop for anyone looking to take an early peek.
